In February 2013 I was asked to work with theatre company Maison Foo. My job was to watch their devising and rehearsal process and create entertaining, engaging blog posts for their website. In doing this, they let their fans into their process and created a great deal of interest in the show 'Pendulums Bargain Emporium'. The work was intensive but immensely rewarding. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of BBC Sci-Fi series Doctor Who, dedicated fan site WhovianNet held a prestigious writing contest. The aim of the contest was to select a number of essays about fans' memories of the show and publish them in a book entitled "The Doctor & I". I was lucky enough to have my essay selected and published.

Vintage Life is a popular vintage lifestyle magazine which is appreciated by a wide range of people. Early in 2013, Vintage Life decided to diversify and create "HIS Vintage Life" aimed at the ever-expanding demographic of male readers within the vintage scene. I was tasked with writing a monthly featured called "The Men That Made a Generation", wherein I chose a subject from history and wrote a brief piece about their lives, achievements and lifestyles. While the feature was popular amongst readers, sales were low. Production of the magazine was forced to stop in late 2013 due to poor sales.
